The Save a Copy As command lets you save to a local disk the contents of a text window or the Fetch Transcript window; it also lets you save a copy of the Fetch Shortcuts window.

This command is available as:

  • The Save a Copy As command in the File menu

Use the Save a Copy As command to save the contents of a remote text file or remote media file to a local disk, or to save a copy of the Fetch Shortcuts window to a new shortcut list document.

If you want to back up your shortcuts, use the Save a Copy As command to save a copy of them to a new file.

To save a shortcut list window other than Fetch Shortcuts as a new shortcut list document, use the Save As command.

To save the contents of a Quick Look window, double-click the contents of the window to open them in an external application, and use that application's Save command.
