  Hello,
  I am trying to upload a website to marvin-photography.com.
  I uploaded my files using Fetch and there is a Stats file that I cannot delete and then the folder I created and named index. I then have subfolders, one for the site, one for images, one for templates, and another source file with CSS and fonts, etc. This site was orginally purchased as a template website and I loaded all my images and content into it and redid it, then saved it as my own. I uploaded everything and when I go to the website it says:
  Forbidden
  You don't have permission to access / on this server.

  Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
  Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.marvin-photography.com Port 80

  What am I doing wrong? I think I have my site in the wrong folders. Any suggestions?

  Hi Morgan,

  We'd like some more information to help figure out what's going on. Could you please do the following?

  * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
  * Open Fetch again.
  * Connect to your server.
  * Go to the View menu, and choose Refresh.
  * Then go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
  * Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

  We'll take a look and see what we can find out.

  Thank you for your help! I did notice that my home page is labeld "index_1.html" I am going to relabel it, relink it, and then re-put all my folders on the site again. Here is what you requested:

  Hi Morgan,

  Thanks for the transcript. Are all your website files inside the folder named "index"? If so, that's part of the problem - you should upload all the contents of the "index" folder, but not the folder named "index" itself.

  But yes, also your home page should be named index.html, not anything else.

  And don't worry about not being able to delete the "stats" folder - the webserver won't let you delete it because it needs that folder, but it won't interfere with anything to leave it there.

  Hi Najla,

  I just visited your website and it worked for me; I did not get an error.

  Please try the following and see if it helps (this assumes you are using Safari):

  * In Safari, go to the Safari menu, and choose Empty Cache.
  * Safari will ask you if you're sure. Click the Empty button.
  * Then go to your website address, and view the pages to see if they look okay.

  Just wanted to let you both know that you solved my problem. All I had to do was take the website files out of the folder and everything worked!
