"Access is denied" (4 posts)

    Hi there,

    I am very new to your program and I am having a problem with it. I have no experience working with web editing and I am just trying to follow a set of instructions to update a website (only changing text). Some documents are uploaded ok, but sometimes I get an "access is denied" pop-up. The document that worked was edited in microsoft word, and the ones that don't appear to all be edited using Kompozer.

    Any help you could give would be appreciated! :)

    Hi,

    It would help us to be able to view the Fetch Transcript after you get this error. To view the transcript, choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu. You can post it here, or send it to us at http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/feedback .

    Hi,

    Thanks for posting the transcript. The server is saying that your account (username: iogah) is not authorized to upload a replacement for the currentresearch.html file on the server. I would recommend contacting the server administrator and passing along the transcript. It could be that the permissions are set incorrectly for that file, or that you need to login with a different username.
