All folder dates changing to today's date (5 posts)

Mac OS version 10.10.2. Fetch version 5.7.5 . Was trying to download all plugins from a wordpress site at Bluehost just using ftp. Strangely, 4 out of 5 directories downloaded to my local drive had their date incorrectly modified to today (they were not modified today on the server).
With great reluctance on my part, I tried the mirror function, with "do not use MDTM" checked, redownloading my wordpress site from the server to my local mac. Now all of the folders in my entire site have a date modified of today, which is incorrect. That does not seem like a mirror to me...
Do I have a setting somewhere that is causing this problem?

    Hi,

Fetch does not preserve folder modification dates. Fetch does optionally preserve file modification dates.

    Thanks,

Thanks for your answer. Do you know of any FTP program that does? I cannot figure out how anyone can keep track of versions without having appropriate dates on the folders.

No, I don't know of an FTP program that does. To keep track of versions I would use file content, or file size, or file modification date.

    Thanks,
