You can access an anonymous ftp account with Fetch by leaving the User ID and Password fields blank. To set up part of your website for anonymous ftp you'd have to talk to your web service provider. My provider, pair.com, makes it very easy.

Dear Jim, thanks for your help..unfortunately with my particular web host (cedant.com) this did not work. It allowed me to conect and see the directories but would deny transfer of any data. After a few e-mails with my web server, they solved it. Whether your on a mac or pc platform you log on by typing in the host, then actually typing the word"anonymous" as user then any e-mail address as password. It works so now I have dedicated unused web space as ftp site, which can be accesed by anyone. thanks for your help. just thought i would share for future ref
    thanks
