Hi. I've just downloaded and opened your program for the first time and received a whole screed of applescript error words which mean diddly squit to me. It ends :
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/par.pl line 818. (2). Then when I click ok a message comes up:
Cant get <<class scrV>> "songs' of window id 20 (-1728).
Then I have to force quit. Any idea what's occuring?

    Hi Guy,

Can you tell us which version of Fetch you downloaded, and which version of Mac OS X you have?

    Thanks,

    Hi Guy,

Thanks for the information. More specifically, which version of Mac OS X do you have? Mac OS X 10.5? 10.4? "Leopard"? "Tiger"? (You can find out by going to the Apple menu and choosing "About this Mac.")

I have to admit that is a very peculiar error, and not one we've heard of before.

It's so odd - neither of those messages seem to have anything to do with Fetch; one appears to be an AppleScript command aimed at iTunes - that I think the first thing to try is the obvious; maybe your copy of Fetch has gotten corrupted in some way.

Could you please restart your Macintosh, and then after you've restarted, delete the copy of Fetch you downloaded, and download and install a fresh copy of Fetch, and let us know if that fixes the errors?

If not, we'll start gathering other information to figure out what's going on.

    Thanks,

Bingo. Seems to up and running fine now. Should've just tried that before contacting you. I don't know if it's related but I've just noticed I've lost those little arrows in itunes that send you into the store from a particular track. I've no idea precisely when I lost them as I rarely used them but I do recall cursing one that I hit by mistake about 24hrs ago so it must've been today some time. I thought the only way to remove them was by terminal tinkering which isn't something I've ever attempted having only 4 months total computer experience so wonder if the two events were related. Ta for your help any road, Guy.
