Assign temporary username/password to allow client to pick up files from specific folder on ftp site (2 posts)

  How do I allow a client to access my ftp to get/put files to a Jobs folder without having access to other files/folders and not have them use my User ID and password?

  Hi Marlene,

  This is not something Fetch can help you with; the language Fetch uses to communicate with servers just allows it to move/delete/upload/download files and folders, it doesn't have the ability create new usernames or passwords.

  So you should contact the company or people who run the server you store your files on (usually this is your hosting company) and ask them for help in setting up a second login that only has access to a certain folder.
