Somewhat frequently, when attempting to delete files, rather than being removed, they will be changed to file names such as .html, .html.html, .html.html.html, and such.

    Fetch can't see invisible files?

Also, a command line interface would be nice. I'd like to be able to type "chmod xxx" rather than having to reference the menu.

I've never seen the file-renaming behavior you mention. If you can make that happen could you send me the contents of the Fetch Transcript window afterwards?

Fetch can see any files that the server tells it about. Many UNIX computers are (mis)configured to not show invisible files unless the FTP client (i.e. Fetch) sends a non-standard command. To have Fetch do that choose "Send LIST -al to UNIX Servers" from the Obscure Options pop-up menu in the Misc section of Preferences.

To send commands directly to the FTP server you can choose "Send FTP Command..." from the Remote menu. In the case you mention the command would be "site chmod xxx file_name".

    Thanks,
