Bullets getting changed to Quotes (2 posts)

    Hi,

    I want to send a stuffed file with "bullets" in its name, such as "firstname•lastname•03.sit", but the bullets keep getting changed to quotes ("). I assume this is the Unix server's doing.
    Does anyone know of a way to change the characters back or stop it from happening in the first place? Applescript, maybe?

    Have you tried changing the setting of the "Translate ISO Characters" checkbox in the Misc. section of Preferences?
