    Hello,

    I am having problems downloading certain files. Everytime I get the file an error message comes up:

    "Fetch could not get "abc.ai" because the FTP server encountered an error accessing a file or folder"

    What does that mean?

    Hi,

    We'd like some more information to help figure out what's going on.

    Do all the files you're having problems downloading end it .ai?

    Are all these files on the same server, or have you had problems with different servers?

    And could you please do the following?

    * Quit Fetch, if it's running.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Connect to your server.
    * Try downloading one of the problem files.
    * Then choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu, copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    We'll take a look and try to find out why you're getting an error.

    Thanks,

    Yes the problem files do have .ai extension. I can't rename them as well. I am trying the things you stated first.

    Hi,

    We looked at the transcript you sent (now deleted), and we believe this is a problem with the server.

    We suspect it may be because there are spaces in the name of the file - some servers will not work properly with files that have spaces in their names, and give errors saying that they cannot find the files, even though they let you create the files at first and will show them in the file list.

    We recommend contacting the folks who run the server to see if they can help out - perhaps they can rename the files for you to remove the spaces.

    If that doesn't work, or there is a file you're having trouble downloading that does not have spaces in its file name, please let us know.

    Thanks,
