    I am running the latest version 5.6 but I cannot connect.
    I used it everyday and now I rely on it.
    It has not been working all week. Not sure if it coincides with the update or what.

    Thanks!

    Hi Robin,

    This may indicate a problem with the server, instead of Fetch.

    We'd like some more information to help diagnose the problem. Could you please do the following?

    * Quit Fetch.
    * Open Fetch again.
    * Try connecting to your server.
    * After you receive the error, go to the Window menu, and choose Fetch Transcript.
    * Copy the entire contents of the transcript window, and paste them into a reply to this message.

    We'll take a look and try to advise.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

    HI Scott,

    Thanks for looking into this for me.
    It is strange that my editor and others can access my ftp site.
    I cannot access mine or anyone else's.

    Thanks,
    R.

    Hi Robin,

    So the problem happens with more than one server, and more than one of your Macs, is that correct?

    If so, it sounds like there is some problem on your network or with your network equipment that is blocking FTP connections.

    I would recommend restarting all your network equipment, following these steps, and see if it helps:

    * Shut down your Mac.
    * Unplug your router or wireless base station (if you have one; a router is a device for sharing your Internet connection with multiple computers).
    * Unplug your cable/DSL modem.
    * Plug the cable/DSL modem back in, and wait about a minute for it to get completely started up.
    * Then plug the router or wireless base station back in, and wait another minute for it to start up.
    * Finally, start your Mac.

    Then try connecting to the server again.

    Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    I did all that you said and it still didn't work, so i reset the modem with my provider and it works now.
