cannot launch Fetch in OS X (2 posts)

    When I try to start the Fetch app (by double click), my mac opens up MS Excel instead - no error occurs. Any idea what's up with that?

    Mac OS 10.2.6
    Fetch 4.0.3
    Excel v.X

    It sounds like something is wrong with Launch Services, the part of OS X that keeps track of what program to launch when a file is double-clicked. I would run Disk Utility to check for disk problems. If that doesn't help, I would delete Fetch and download a new copy.
