Background: I normally update a website while at work on a PC using FTP pro by getting file, viewing source, making changes saving & uploading. Problem: Now at home on imac using OSX and Fetch I find that after getting file & viewing source, I can not make any changes. The doc is acting like it's 'read only'. What am i doing wrong? Am I being very stupid?

The View Text File command is indeed read-only. To edit text files I'd recommend using Fetch's Edit with BBEdit command and a compatible editor (such as BBEdit, TextWrangler, Tex-Edit Plus, or the free BBEdit Lite). Fetch will open the file in the editor you choose, and when you save in the editor the changes will automatically be uploaded to the server.

    Thanks,
