I have been trying without success to post material on a website for a committee that I am volunteering with. It needs to be done soon. It had been a FrontPage only site but since the two of us who are now doing the website are Mac users, we disabled the FrontPage extensions, so we could use a variety of html editors. I can't seem to upload anything, but I can get into the site and see what is on it, download stuff, and even delete files. The site supports Macs and says Fetch will work, but I had to uncheck the default extensions first. I am using regular DSL with a Linksys BEFSR41router with Mac OS9. I would appreciate any help you can give.

One way to find out whether the router is the problem is to connect your Mac directly to the DSL modem, bypassing the router. Does that help?

    Thanks,

Jim, thanks ever so much for your help. The router was definitely the problem. I upgraded the firmware on it and, presto, Fetch is working great as it usually does. (upgrading the firmware was not a piece of cake! I had to jump through several hoops to get the correct Mac thing right) Now the Fetch dog is no longer running and running. Files upload in an instant. :)
