    Keep receiving this message with passive mode turned on and turned off.
    Appreciate any help

    That message was with passive mode turned on, and suggests that the server is behind a firewall that blocks passive data connections. Could you try turning passive mode off, and post that transcript? Also, make sure you do not have the OS X firewall turned on as it interferes with non-passive transfers.

    And you have the OS X firewall turned off?

    If so it looks like you are stuck. I'd contact the server administrator to find out if they know about this problem. Perhaps they can make a change on the server to allow either passive or non-passive connections.
