Can't upgrade Fetch to 5.3.1 (5 posts)

  I've downloaded the upgrade, and when I drag it to my Applications folder, I get the following:

  The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items."

  I have administrator privileges, what's the deal?

  I just tried installing 5.5.2, same thing. Any help?

  Hi Betsie,

  Sometimes Mac OS X gets confused about privileges when you're replacing applications. Fortunately, the problem is easy to solve. Please do the following:

  * Make sure you've quit Fetch.
  * Open your Applications folder.
  * Drag the old version of Fetch to the Trash.
  * Copy the new Fetch to your Applications folder.

  This should fix the problem for either 5.3.1 or 5.5.2. Please let us know if you're still having problems.
