  Hi. Is it possible to change the double-click action in a connection window, so double-clicking can, say, open a file in an external text editor? If not, is there a keyboard shortcut (or a way implement one) to open up the selected file in an external text editor? Thanks!

  Hi,

  Yes, you can change the double-click action to Edit if you would like. For instructions, see the Editing text or image files automatically instead of downloading topic in Fetch Help (or just click the link here).

  And there is also a keyboard shortcut for the Edit command - select the file you want to edit, and type Command-J.
