    Hi,

Fetch only supports connecting to certain kinds of servers that use a special language and set of rules, called a protocol, for communicating and transferring files between the two computers. The protocols Fetch supports are FTP (File Transfer Protocol), one of the oldest and most established ways of moving files between two computers on the Internet, and SFTP and FTP with TLS/SSL, which are newer, more secure file transfer protocols.

gmail is not an FTP or SFTP service; it is just for sending email messages. So it does not work with Fetch.

You may be able to use gmail to exchange media files via email, although I'm not sure how large of attachments gmail allows.

If you need a place to store your website or files, you should contact a hosting provider (a company that provides and maintains server space for storing web pages, FTP files, etc.), and they can help set up an account for you.

For additional information, you may want to read the following two help topics:

What do I enter in the hostname, username, and password fields? - http://fetchsoftworks.com/fetch/help/Contents/Tutorial/WhatDoIEnterInUsername.html

I hope this helps clarify things, please let us know if you have additional questions.

    Thanks,
