    Hi Mahathir,

Sometimes, on very large downloads, a server glitch or a network glitch can interrupt the downloads.

If you cannot reconnect to the server even after quitting Fetch and restarting, it may be a problem with the server - you should contact the folks who run it and have them look into it.

If you can reconnect, and you're downloading a single large file and the download fails again, you should try the resume download feature of Fetch. It should pick up where the previous download left off, so you don't have to start over from the beginning.

You can read more information about Resume download in the Resuming an interrupted download topic in Fetch Help (or just click the link here).

If you're downloading a folder full of lots of files, you may want to try the Fetch Mirror command. It lets you associate a folder on the server (the one with the files you're trying to download) with a folder on your Macintosh. When you run the Mirror command, it will only download new and changed files. So if your first attempt to Mirror the folder stops in the middle, you can tell Fetch to do Mirror again, and the next attempt will pick up where the last one left off (because already downloaded files won't be "new'), instead of starting from the beginning again.

You can learn more about the Mirror command in the Mirror window topic in Fetch Help (or click the link here).

    I hope this helps. Thanks,

    Hi,

It looks like you're trying to download a single file. In that case, you should try Fetch's Resume download command once the transfer fails.

I see you're trying to move a rather large file; have you made sure that you have enough space on the disk you're trying to download the file to?

If you're sure you have enough space, I would try the resume download feature and see if that works to finish the download.

If resume download doesn't work, I think it's a problem with the server, and you should contact the manufacturer of the device you're trying to download the files from.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire
