    Hi
    Have downoaded a trial copy of Fetch to run on Mac OS 9.2.2
    When connecting to external site hosting our ftp facilities, to upload, it fails with a message "Can't open data connection"

    When trying from a pc with the same procedure it connects ok

    can you help

    My guess is that the PC is using a different connection mode (active vs. passive), and that only one works. I would choose "Preferences..." from the Customize menu, click on the Firewall tab, and change the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox. Let me know if that does not help.
