  I've been trying to upload to my site but I receive the error message:
  Server Response: Unable to build a data connection. Connection Refused

  The people that host my site have no problem accessing my stuff with the same password, username, etc.

  Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Why is it refusing to connect. I am using OS X 10.1.5 and am connecting via cable (roadrunner) Thanks for the input.

  The first thing I'd try is changing the setting of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" checkbox in the Firewall section of Preferences. Let me know if that does not fix the problem.
