Crashes From IE 5.0 links on OS X (2 posts)

    Every time I click an ftp link, fetch opens, and then crashes before doing anything with an 'unknown' error. I would prefer
    to use /usr/bin/ftp as the helper application for browsers anyway. Anyone know how to either fix fetch or change the helper application?

    That's a bug in Fetch, which I hope to fix in the next release.

    You can change the helper in IE by going to the Protocol Helpers section of Preferences (in IE) and editing the ftp entry so that the "Use current application" box is checked.
