Is there a way to create a new file inside of a remote (S)FTP connection. Basically, the equivalent of "touch" in unix?

You can create a new empty file with the help of a text editor like TextWrangler or BBEdit. If nothing is selected when you click the Edit button you will be asked to name the new file, and it will open in your preferred text editor as an empty file. Type a few characters and choose Save to create the file. Then delete the characters and save again (if you want the file to be empty).

    Thanks,

Great. It is not 100% what I was looking for, but it is certainly good enough.
