Direct server-to-server transfers (2 posts)

    I've tried enabling "Direct server-to-server transfers" in the Obscure Options section. I opened two connection windows and dragged folders from one ftp server to the other. Is this the way it's supposed to work?

    During the transfers, the transcript window shows that my .html files are being transferred using BINARY mode, which seems odd. They seem to display okay, though.

    I can't find anything in the documentation about this feature, and I'm thinking it might be handy in my application.

    Yes, that's how it is supposed to work. Server to server transfers are in binary mode when the download mode is set to Automatic and both servers are of the same type; since both servers will use the same line ending characters a binary transfer is appropriate.
