    ftp_retrieve: -30004 (state == RGET_RETRIEVING)
I put more down at the bottom but this is the error

we have been able to download large files from a Wndws 2003 box until about a month ago

    uploading works
downloading cuts out on large files

I can download from other sites.

Can you make a suggestion as to why it is cutting out

    Thanks
    WB

I can't think of a reason for that behavior. Do you see it with any other FTP clients?

    Thanks,

    yea,
    tried cyberduck and captain ftp,
captain seems to pull more down before it needs to be restarted,
wndws side can download the full files, w/o restart, from this site

    thanks

If it is affecting multiple FTP clients on your Mac I'd suspect a problem with your Mac, network or server. You might see whether other Macs have the same problem, whether changing the network setup helps, and whether you can download large files from other servers.

In the meantime have you tried using the Resume Download command (in the Remote menu) to download the rest of the file?

    Thanks,

yea, i've been double clicking on the unfinished file to resume the downloads.

i've tried it on 4 other macs,
i can download from other ftp sites w/o issues,

i'm thinking along the same line as you
something has got to be messed up on that side, i'm just going to have to convince them that there is a problem

i was just checkin to see if you had any idea what/why that error was appearing so i would have something to work with when i tell them they need to fix it, (ftp site i use daily) or if there was a work-around

Fetch works Great, used it for years
    Thanks for all your help
