I have recently upgraded my mac software to 10.4.9 and now cannot get a file list when I try to connect to any ftp (including softworks). I have read the previous posts about this problem and have tried the various passive modes suggested, also tried turing osx firewall off, nothing is working and my head is in a spin as to what settings I should have (I am not very technically minded). Here is the transcript:

    Hi,

We'd like you to give the latest version of Fetch, Fetch 5.2, a try and see if it can connect successfully. You can download it from our homepage, http://fetchsoftworks.com . You can try it free of charge for 15 days.

Please let us know if Fetch 5.2 connects successfully or not. If it cannot, please send us the transcript from an attempt to connect to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com and we'll see if we can figure out what the problem is.

    Thanks,

    Scott McGuire

I did this already and it didn't work either, but this morning it all decided to work again - I did not change anything from last night. I had tried restarting last night and it did'nt work, so I don't know what has changed.

Thanks for your help though :-)

If it happens again I will be back.

    Hi,

As I said in reply to your other message, it sounds like it must have been some sort of temporary problem with your Internet service, that your service provider fixed overnight.

Anyway, we're glad to hear it's all working now!

    Best,
