    I have just started using Fetch. Tried to make new connection but keep getting 'dropped connection' error message. I am using a dial-up system that has a firewall. Have mucked about with preferences but can't find the answer. Any ideas?

    Do you know what kind of firewall it is? Is there a network administrator who can offer directions for configuring an FTP client?

    The firewall is used by setting web, gopher and ftp to wwwcache.livjm.ac.uk and bypassing any adresses with livjm.ac.uk.
    One of the administrators said that they had not had a problem on another Apple.

    I would ask the administrator how the other Mac users had configured their FTP clients, and try to duplicate that configuration.
