  Verizon DSL is not really MAC friendly so I am having trouble trying to upload my site. Fetch times out before connecting.

  I think it is the TCP/IP configuration but can't get to the answer on Verizon's site.

  I am running OSX (10.2.8)

  Hi,

  The first thing to do is to double-check the information you are using to try to connect to the server for uploading your files. If you enter the incorrect hostname, you'll get timeout errors. You should check with Verizon to see what hostname you should use to connect for uploading webpages.

  If that doesn't seem to be the problem, you should open System Preferences, click on Sharing, and then click the Firewall tab, is the Firewall on or off? If it's on, try turning it off and see if Fetch works then, and let us know the result.
