Going crazy here. I can not get my old files uploaded with my new files. I never did have success when first uploading my files to server. I finally sent the server my folder and they got it up there. They said they didn't know why it wasn't working for me coz I had the files correctly done. Do I take the public_html folder in the transfer window and delete and then use put to put new folder in transfer window for uploading? Also I cannot use webview for my files. I just get a Safari page saying NOt Found. requested URL /public_html/ was not found on this server.A 404 Not Found error encountered ...

    Hi,

The first thing you need to check is whether your server requires your website files to be inside a folder named public_html .

If the answer is "yes," you should almost certainly not delete the public_html folder - that will confuse the server. What you should do instead is open up the public_html folder, and then delete everything inside it. Then upload your new files to be inside the public_html folder.

However, if your server does not require your files to be in a folder named public_html, then you should not be creating or putting files in a folder named that.

So, find out if your server requires website files to go in a public_html folder; and if so, you'll need to ask them to recreate it (just creating a folder named that yourself will probably not work, because it will not have the correct permission settings). Then let us know what you find out, and we can go from there.

    Thanks,
