Never mind! I read all other posts and responses on this topic and tried what was suggested. I think what did it was turning PASV off but it didn't help until I quit fetch and then relaunched it.

I've installed fetch on my ibook (o.s.9.0) and on my husband's desktop (8600 - o.s. 9.1) in order to manage our website. It works great on my ibook but I can't get to the ftp server on the desktop. I get an error message that says "Server response: can't open data connection." But it does work getting into the fetch server for the samples. I'd just work from my laptop except that all the photoshop files I need for the website are on the desktop. HELP! This makes no sense to me!
