Do you know what version of Kerberos you have on your Mac, and what version is on the server?

It also might help to see the complete transcripts of your sessions (choose Fetch Transcript from the Window menu).

    Thanks,

Thanks for that information. What version of Fetch are you running, and what version of the system software?

    Thanks again,

One other question -- is your Mac's clock set to the correct time? The -20037 error may indicate that your clock and the server's are more than five minutes apart.

    Fetch version(s) 4.0b7 & 4.0b8
    System Software MacOS X 10.0.1
    (Build 4L13)

My clock is set to time sync with mit's time server, and kerberos works with other programs (Eudora)

    Thanks.

Hmm. Are you connecting from the MIT campus network, or from elsewhere? Do you know if you are behind a Network Address Translation (NAT) box?

i'm connecting from MIT network. and i'm definitely not behind a NAT box when i'm doing this.

i should check when i'm at home, behind a NAT box, whether or not I get the same error...
