This is the error message I receive whenever I try and log on to any ftp site through fetch. This includes the Fetch site through the shortcut menu.
I'm using a Mac with system 10.3 and have used Fetch frequently in the past.
I can see the site I need to get on to through my internet browser but can't enter the necessary User Name and Password to access the files I need. Any help would be appreciated since Fetch is worthless to me now.

One cause of this problem is a mixed up proxy server setting. I would:

    1) Choose Preferences... from the Customize menu.
    2) Click on the Firewall tab.
    3) Set the "Proxy Type:" pop-up menu to "None".

Please let me know if that does not help.

    Thanks,
