    here's a feature i'd love to have: automatic stuffiting or zipping of files.

    why? because then you can transfer files and not have all the modtimes changed to today. you also will save time on slow connections. may make directory transfers/backups easier too.

    currently i have to manually stuff things -- even single files, when i want to preserve their modtimes.

    obviously you won't be able to unstuff on the remote server, but it would be a start.

    sound like a fun project? :) glad to hear you're working on it again!

    That's an excellent suggestion; I'll see about doing that after 4.0 is done.

    I'll second that! Excellent suggestion.

    I keep Stuffit Expander running in the background because it's a bit bloated (takes to long to launch). Hopefully this can be done keeping this in mind, sending Stuffit back to the background when finished. Treat it like a daemon or something |-)
