    i know, not the brightess question to ask, but i need your help. i need a ftp address so that our little company can upload images and video clips and other companies can download them and vice versa. does fetch do that for me, or is fetch a tool for an ftp site?

    Hi Friend,

    No, Fetch is just a client for talking to FTP sites - you're looking for an FTP server to store the files, and Fetch doesn't provide that. You can use Fetch to upload your images and videos once you have the FTP site, though (and other companies could use it to download the files).

    You can set up any Mac OS X machine as an FTP or SFTP server, if your needs are modest; there are also programs for Mac OS X that provide more robust FTP servers, such as Rumpus. Or there are ISPs that will do FTP hosting for you - pair.com is one such company, but there are others.
