I'm trying to figure out a very strange problem. I have a computer running OSX which I would like to have someone at a remote address to ftp sound files to. I've set up the FTP file sharing in OSX. I can FTP via Fetch 4.0 on a G3 running 9.1 and also via a terminal program on another remote. The user who I need to FTP to this server cannot. He is using v3.03. OS is v9.04 on a 450MHz G4.

What I'm wondering, is there a new security protocol in the background of Fetch 4.0 that wasn't included in 3.x?

    Help!

My guess would be that the user's copy of Fetch is configured differently than yours. To tell more I'd want to look at the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after a connection attempt.

    Thanks,
