    running mac mini, fetch 5, no changes mades, everything was fine. Since several time it told me that an update is available, I said: skip - because it runs fine so I don't change anything but since I said: skip it does no longer work... I click the application's icon, it starts and then leave immediately: Fetch a quitté inopinément
    What's about that? how can I get back my Fetch application? I already deleted it, downloaded Fetch again, replaced the old one, the problem is still the same

    Hi,

    Skipping the updates should not cause your existing copy of Fetch to stop working.

    Please try moving the com.fetchsoftworks.Fetch.plist and Fetch Prefs files to your Desktop, and then running Fetch again to see if that fixes the problem.

    To find the com.fetchsoftworks.Fetch.plist and Fetch Prefs files:

    * Choose "Home" from the Go menu in the Finder
    * Open the Library folder
    * Open the Preferences folder

    If that fixes the problem, please mail the two files that you moved to the Desktop to bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com along with a description of the problem they were causing, and we'll try to figure out why they were causing it.

    If it does not fix the problem, please let us know and we'll try some other things.

    Thanks,

    Thanks, I did as you say but the problem is still the same; it starts and then leaves before even was really open - still the message: Fetch a quitté inopinément
    Last night I updated my OS, but this also brings no change.

    Hi,

    Sorry to hear that didn't fix the problem.

    Please try this next - go to the Preferences folder as I previously described, but this time move the file called com.apple.internetconfig.plist to your Desktop. Then restart your computer (or log out and log back in), and try starting Fetch.

    Let us know if this fixes the problem.

    Thanks,

    Thanks again. Sorry but no changes even moving also this file and restarting my computer. It made me think about if it will work if no browser is open but.. no, with or without open browser, with or without other applications running, noting... Fetch seems to be really out...
    I didn't install any application or change on my computer... just click "skip" for fetch update but as you say, this doesn't matter.. I re-downloaded fetch for install it again but it tells that Fetch is already installed; not sur if it is a good idea to completely remove it and make a fresh installation?

    Hi,

    It should be fine to completely remove the Fetch application and put a new copy in its place. It's worth a try.

    To help us figure out what's going on, could you please email us your Fetch.crash.log file? To find it:

    * Choose "Home" from the Go menu in the Finder
    * Open the Library folder
    * Open the Logs folder
    * Open the CrashReporter folder
    * Look for Fetch.crash.log

    Please send it to bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com , along with a short description of your problem.

    Thanks,
