    Hi there,

Been trying to set up a wordpress blog.

I downloaded fetch to use as my FTP client, but I keep getting the error message "connection was refused"

I contacted a friend, and they were able to connect without any problems using the same information I was. So, is there anything non-obvious I need to check in my network settings, or is it more likely something on my computer?

Here's copy pasta from the transcript window:

Fetch 5.7 (5H314) Intel (Mac App Store) running on Mac OS X 10.7.2 (11C74) Intel English
StuffIt Engine 0x820, StuffIt SDK Version 10.1.1b1
Connecting to www.audiblethoughts.co.uk port 21 (Mac OS X firewall is allowing connections) (27/11/2011 20:36)
An FTP connection to “www.audiblethoughts.co.uk” could not be opened because the connection was refused. (Contact the server administrator for more information.)

It looks like there's a problem with your computer's connection to the Internet. Can you use Fetch to connect to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the Username and Password fields blank)?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but I decided to sleep on the problem...and it worked! Woke up this morning with Fetch running beautifully, so something I did last night must have fixed it somehow!

Glad to hear that it's working now.
