You can download a fresh copy of Fetch from http://fetchsoftworks.com. Let me know if downloading a new copy doesn't solve the problem.

    Thanks,

When I go to launch Fetch my mac (OS 10.6.4) registers and acts as though it is launching but the program never appears on my computer. If I have to re-install how do I do that without having my original serial number?

    Hi AZ,

Fetch should pick up the serial number from the previous copy (it's stored in preferences). Let me know if reinstalling does not solve the problem.

    Thanks,

I can't retrieve it from preferences because the program is not showing up at all - I can't access any of the program!
    thanks,

You don't have to retrieve it from preferences -- Fetch will do that for you.

It sounds like Fetch is crashing on launch. Could you:

    1) In the Finder, choose "Home" from the Go menu
    2) Open the Library folder
    3) Open the Logs folder
    4) Find the "Fetch.log" file in that folder, and email it to bugs@fetchsoftworks.com

We'll try to figure out what is going on.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jim,

Unfortunately there is no fetch log in the library folder.
    What next?
    thanks,

    Jim,
It doesn't seem to be crashing on launch, usually an error message would come up to say that it had quit unexpectedly if that were the case. In my case, the fetch icon has the little blue light running underneath it as it is launching and then it is stable as if it were running, but yet the program does not appear anywhere on my computer (I do not use spaces so it is not hidden in another "space").
    Thanks,
    AZ

    Hi AZ,

I'm sorry, but we have not received an email from you yet. Could you either please try resending it, or just post the console excerpt here?

    Thanks,

    Hi Paula,

You can use Spotlight (hold down the Command key and type a space, then type "Fetch") to find Fetch and open it.
