That sounds like the result of two downloads -- an incomplete one (with the Fetch icon) and a second one that succeeded (with the .1 in the name to distinguish it from the first). You should be able to throw away the incomplete one and fix the name of the second, successfully downloaded file.

When I drag and drop the swf file that I am trying to download onto my desktop it appears along with another file. The original file that I am trying to download has the right icon but has a .1 before the .swf extension. The other file that shows up has the original name with a fetch icon.
I just added the .swf extension to my suffix mapping preferences, could that have something to do with it? Thanks in advance for any input.
