I've been connecting fine with this host until about a day or so ago. This is an nt host. The old shortcut doesn't seem to work, nor do any new one's I try to create.

    The directory form is:
    /users/letter/username

for some reason fetch is dropping the uername part when it tries to connect and I get and error "You are not allowed to take that action".

    ANy help would be appreciated.

Could you post the contents of the Fetch Transcript window after seeing the error message? Choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu to reveal it.

    Thanks,

    Hi!

Thanks for your reply. Here's the transcript. I am also having problems with connecting to a specific UNIX service but I haven't ruled out that it's a ISP problem yet. Thanks for your time.

Fetch goes to the starting directory in two steps, first to its parent and then to the actual destination. You may be able to work around this by putting this in the Directory field:

    /users/m/mcostello/.

In this case Fetch will go to /users/m/mcostello and then to ".", which refers to the current directory.
