  Is there a version of Fetch (or a "Lite" version of Fetch) available for those users still running OS9?

  I've looked on the website but cannot find any download links for older versions of Fetch.

  Yes, Fetch 4.0.3 runs on Mac OS 9, and is still available. You can download it from this page:
