When I connect a HDD to my new AEBS (flat, not saucer) , I would like to set it up to receive FTP files. Anyone know how to do this? I have been searching high and low and cannot find an answer. Maybe it is not possible? Thanks! n another system, I have an FTP server set up with a Windows machine behind linksys, it works great, especially with Fetch; no problems. Now, I am trying to "upgrade" to the AEBS and get rid of the windows machine and only use a single HDD attached to the AEBS.

    Hi,

I don't think the Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS) supports FTP. The only way you can access files on a disk attached to an AEBS is by mounting the disk in the Finder (it uses the AFP and SMB protocols to allow this access).

    Thanks,
