Fetch keeps "quitting unexpectedly" (5 posts)

I just took out a 2 week trial of Fetch today and at first try it worked perfectly...and then, a bit later, I couldn't get it to connect again. Each time I've tried it since that first successful time, after it opens and goes to connect, I get a pop-up window saying "The application Fetch quit unexpectedly after it was relaunched." I can then click on "Ignore," "Report," or "Relaunch"...and when I click on Relaunch, I get the same message again--after being cycled through the window asking me if I want to purchase or not--so far I haven't, given I can't get it to work. If I click on "Report,"I get a long report, which I can send to Apple, but which I can't seem to copy and paste here.

Hope you can help me fix this--the one time it worked, it was great...but it was only once.

    Thanks.

Thanks for reporting this problem -- we'd like to get to the bottom of it. Please try running Fetch again, and when you get the window telling you that it quit unexpectedly, click the Report button. It should show you what's called a crash log -- a bunch of information about the crash. Could you either post that information here, or email it to bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com? I will take a look and hopefully figure out how to fix the problem.

    Thanks,

    Thanks, Jim.

Copying and pasting that whole report is what I seem not to be able to do--I finally got it to copy (or so it appeared), but now it won't paste it anywhere (here or on a separate e-mail). I have no ideas about how to accomplish this--any suggestions?

    Hi,

Sorry for the difficulty sending the crash report. The other way to get it is to click the "Ignore" button, and then follow these steps:

    1) In the Finder, choose "Home" from the Go menu
    2) Open the "Library" folder
    3) Open the "Logs" folder
    4) Open the "CrashReporter" folder
    4) Sort the window by date, so the newest files are at the top
    5) Do you see a file with a name that starts with "Fetch" at the top of the list? If so, please email it to bugs at fetchsoftworks dot com.

    Thanks!
