Can someone help. I have a client who uses Fetch on a Mac OS9 computer and ftp's to our server running Linux. She ftp's .jpg files and they come out the other end at .wbmp files. This is a mystery to us. Hs anyone experienced similar problems?

    Cheers

Are the names of the files changing (from .jpg to .wbmp)? Fetch has an option to add a file name suffix if there is not one already, but that option does not change the file contents, just the name.

    Thanks,

Perhaps that is what is happening. The files are being generated in MAC OS9/8 and perhaps they are doing it in the default Mac way of not appending the file type so when Fetch works with them it appends these strange file types. How do I make sure Fetch does not do this?

The simplest thing would be for them to add the correct file type extension to the names, and to uncheck the "Add Internet Congif suffix to Raw Data uploads" checkbox in the Upload section of Fetch Preferences.
