fetch running VERY slow on 1 server (2 posts)

  I have been using Network Solutions for 10 years and have had NO problem using Fetch to upload my files. I just moved my office and now Fetch uploads my files VERY slow. Fetch still works great with my other servers. Any ideas?

  I'm using version 5.3 on a MAC 10.4.11

  Hi,

  Usually when all servers but one works fine, we suspect a problem with the server, instead of Fetch, your Mac, or your network. It is not impossible that some change caused by your move has made just one server slow, but usually anything that would cause that makes all servers slow.

  Have you tried accessing the problem server with Fetch from another location to make sure the problem only happens in your new office? If you see the problem in another location on another Mac, I'd suggest contacting the folks who run the server to make sure there isn't a problem with it.

  If the problem only happens on your Mac in your office, or you are unable to test in another location, let us know and we can try to investigate further.
