If an error occurs or fetch has finished uploading files, in order to upload any more I have to restart my computer.

If I need to upload a new file or a number of files it uploads the first one and then freezes and won't upload any more files. If I restart fetch it does the same thing. The only way to get it to work again is to restart my computer.

Is there a way to fix this? It's driving me crazy.

    Thanks.

That sounds very aggravating. Could you give me some more information about the problem?

What version of Mac OS are you running?

What model Mac are you using?

How is your Mac connected to the Internet?

When Fetch freezes can you still move the cursor? Change applications? Choose menu items?

    Thanks,

Running Version 10.2.8. I'm about to switch over to Panther in the next couple of days.

    I'm using a Power book G4.

I'm connected to the internet with Cable modem using the wireless internet.

I can still move the cursor and do everything when if freezes, it just doesn't move forward to the next file. It get's stuck at the file that it is uploading. It won't just cancel either I actually have to close the window. It usually says that it is doing something and that the connection is still open.

I'm not sure if that will help, but there you go! Thanks for looking into this.

Can you choose "Fetch Transcript" from the Window menu and post the contents the next time this happens?

    Thanks,

It continues to do it... here is the log. It just gets stuck. I let it sit for 2 hours to see what it might be it just doesn't do anything.

I'm having the same problem on the same set-up. Very frustrating.

My upload files are very big. 80mb - 400mb.

I have one successfully uploaded. The rest stop at at about 60-70mbs. "Dancers1.1.mov" is the file that is currently stalled at 63mb. "All Final3.mov" never started and I quit out of that window.

    257 "/InsceneClips" is current directory.

kimlovesgod: This looks like a problem with your connection to the Internet. To trouble-shoot that you might try connecting your PowerBook directly to the cable modem (rather than through your wireless base station) -- does that make any difference?

Another test you could try is uploading to the incoming directory on ftp.fetchsoftworks.com (leave the User ID and Password fields blank when you login to ftp.fetchsoftworks.com, then enter the "incoming" directory). That might tell us whether the problem is specific to your server.

    Thanks,

    Jim Matthews

JimmyD: Do you know if there is a storage limit on your server account?
