    Hey Gang,
I have an NT 4 Domain with MS proxy 2.0 wide open for all ports. PC users can FTP out but a few fetch users cannot.
I setup FTP Proxy options OK and account info. It seems Fetch cannot pass passwords through MS proxy 2.0 when looking at the transcript window. I also tried Fetch 4.0 Beta 7 and Different proxy types to connect to no avail.
    Please help!
    John.

There are a few things you should do to make Fetch 4.0 work with MS Proxy 2.0. First, to fix a bug in MS Proxy you need to install NT 4 Service Pack 5 and Proxy Server 2 Service Pack 1. See

    http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q238/3/75.ASP

    for more information.

Second, you should configure the Firewall section of Fetch Preferences as follows:

Proxy Type: SOCKS 4.3 (or MS Proxy 2.0)

Proxy host: [hostname of the server running MS Proxy 2.0] port: [ ]

    Proxy user id: [ ]

    Proxy password: [ ]

Dont use proxy or SOCKS for: [ ]

You probably should try both settings of the "Use passive mode transfers (PASV)" option. Let me know if this configuration does not work.
