    Hi

Can we install Fetch without having a server? I know it requires one, but I thought if at all possible could we use one of the machines in the lab act as a server, kind of like what you do with the transfer folder? and have the rest of the machines get data from that one, but a student can also use machine for work! there are 12 Macs in the lab and we don't have a server for that lab.

    Thanks in advance!

What would the students be using Fetch for? Is it to transfer files between machines in the lab, or to transfer files with some server located elsewhere?

    Thanks,

    Hi Jim

Thanks so much for your reply! The students will be using Fetch to transfer files between computers in the same lab.

In that case it might be easier to use file sharing, but you could also set up one of the computers as the FTP server and have students use Fetch to connect to that machine.
