File Synchronization (4 posts)

I have a website that has a blog and I frequently update it. Unfortunately, the more I post the bigger the blog file becomes thus the longer it takes to update. Someone recommended I get an FTP program that supports file synchronization.

I've search for any reference to file synchronization within Fetch but can't find any. Is this possible to do with Fetch? If not, is it something that will be implimented at a later date? If so, when?

I currently am a registered user of Fetch and would have to bail to some other program.

    Thanks for any response!

    Hi,

The Fetch Mirror command can synchronize a folder on your Macintosh with a folder on the server, only uploading new or changed files instead of uploading the whole folder every time.

See the Mirroring a local folder to a remote folder and Mirror window topics in Fetch Help (or click on the links here) for more information.

And let us know if you have any questions or problems.

    Thanks,

Yeah... I just found it. The search wasn't picking it up right. My bad and thanks!

    Hi,

You're right, searching the help for the word "synchronization" isn't very useful. I'll add some keywords to fix that.

Out of curiosity, were there any other search terms you tried that didn't work and you thought should have? I'll add those too.

    Thanks for the feedback,
