When using the "Filter Fetch Items" action in automator, the result is just 9 files that were modified today but the following action "Download Fetch Items" downloads all the files in the server folder instead of just the 9 from the filter result. Is there something I am missing? Here is my workflow (app)

    1. Get Specified Fetch Items
    2. Get Fetch Folder Contents
    3. Filter Fetch Items
    4. Download Fetch Items

    Hi,

I would click the Results button in the Filter Fetch Items action, and then run the workflow. That should show you what items the Filter action is passing to the Download action. Is one of the items a folder? In that case Fetch would download the entire folder.

    Thanks,

I found that you must have 2 "Filter Fetch Items" actions. One for type "File" and the other "Modification Date" and worked fine when I ran the workflow manually but when run as an app from an iCal alert it sometimes will still download all files in the folder.

    Thank you for the reply.

Thanks for following up. It's strange that it does the wrong thing when run by iCal. I'd check to make sure it's running an up to date copy of the workflow, with both the Filter actions.

    Thanks,
